Wir lieben bier! We love beer! Our Oktoberfest Beer!

Oktoberfest is more than a beer, it is a Bier Holiday!

It is the world’s largest beer festival held in Munich, Germany, that starts in late September and ends on the first Sunday of October. The original festival started on October 12, 1810, to celebrate the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I. It has since grown to be a beer festival where 2 million gallons of beer or 131,234 kegs are consumed every year!

Oktoberfest beer has since become popular in August, September, and October. This beer style is so popular there at parties themed around blind tasting different Oktoberfest styled beers. This style of beer is typically a lager but can vary depending on the brewing company. Let us tell you a little bit about our Oktoberfest Beer.

Kinkaider Brewing’s Oktoberfest Beer is a nod to the traditional German Festbier, this fresh pale lager has a strong malt backbone with a clean finish. Help celebrate Oktoberfest by pairing this beer with typical Germain faire. We have been producing this beer since 2016 with improvements on the recipe every year. This year the beer has an ABV of 5.4% and a IUB of 20. Every beer has its own unique optimum drinking temperature depending on style, brewing process, and flavor profile. The optimum drinking temperature for the Oktoberfest is between 40-45 degrees fahrenheit.

This would not be a Kinkaider beer without its own unique mascot. In the case of our Oktoberfest Beer it is a barn cuckoo clock. The cuckoo clock is traditional to Germany and Kinkaider beer is fresh from the farm. When you look at the can graphic you notice that it sticks out from the other Oktoberfest beers but it also invokes a traditional German feeling.

Prost!
